Love Luton is delighted to announce the return of Summer in the Sun. It will take place this year from Friday 31st July to Sunday 9th August 2020. St. George’s Square will be transformed into a beach with over 100 tonnes of sand, Punch and Judy, donkey rides and Victorian fairground rides.
The event brings the community together and for some children and even adults it is the first time they experience sand. Luton still has pockets of high deprivation and by creating a free event where families can enjoy a day out playing at the beach and taking part in the entertainment is truly magical.
Other activities include face painting, games and live steel pan performances on a daily basis.
