British Land owns and manages a portfolio of commercial propoerty worth £16.3 Billion, of which our share is £10.4 Billion. Our portfolio is focused primarily on high quality retail locations and central London offices. We believe these well-located properties are the ones best placed to benefit from customer demand and rental growth. We also have expertise in residential and leisure property. We own properties directly, as well as through investment funds and joint ventures. We invest in and develop high-quality buildings in prime locations and then manage them to the very highest standards – focused on customers' needs at every stage. It's an approach that's proved successful: 97.3% of the portfolio is let and our occupiers sign long leases with us. This gives us the security of a strong and sustainable rental income; only a very small portion of rent is subject to break or expiry before 2015. Property is a cyclical business. Our understanding of the market cycles guides us as we use our capital to deliver long-term property returns. www.britishland.com

Vauxhall supports this bid, which it is hoped will promote Luton and reflects its leading role in the region. The Luton plant is by far the largest van manufacturing facility in the UK, producing well over 70,000 light commercial vehicles for the UK and European export markets in joint venture with Renault, generating employment for 1,500 people at the plant alone. Combined with its headquarters in Luton and its Toddington Road Warehouse, Vauxhall is a major employer within the Community, working in partnership with the Luton Council on various initiatives and making significant social contributions via charities and other organisations. Vauxhall is the only British Manufacturer with long standing history and heritage, continuously producing cars in the UK since 1903. General Motors took ownership of Vauxhall Motors in 1925 allowing Vauxhall to benefit from its global resources and step forward as a pioneer in technology. An impactful example for Vauxhall pioneering modern technology will make its debut in the UK early 2012 with Vauxhall’s range extended electric vehicle, the Vauxhall Ampera, which also reinforces Vauxhall’s commitment to green technologies. Vauxhall is building vehicles to high quality, safety and environmental standards at its two manufacturing locations, in Ellesmere Port and Luton. www.vauxhall.co.uk
